In 2003, Marketic was taken over by Unica, a US Marketing Software Company.

Unica opens up to global markets and starts to internationalize its application Suite.

As part of the nascent Internationalization department, I was in charge of:

• Selecting the LSP to localize Unica products' UI and documentation;
• Implementing a quality process by developing and maintaining:
  • Best practice guidelines for software development with view of internationalization;
  • L10N workflow;
  • Company terminology database.
• Follow up the company L10N:
  • Coordinate the L10N with the LSP and the Product and Documentation Managers;
  • Implement and coordinate a review step of the localized product by the Unica countries reviewers within the translation cycle;
  • Review the product UI and documentation into French prior to release.

Responsible for the Documentation in Marketic, a direct marketing Software company, I was in charge of:

• Starting a French online help from scratch;
• Selecting a LSP to manage the OLH translation;
• Following up the OLH localization into English, Dutch and Spanish;
• Managing in-house translation updates using the translation memory database;
• Creating and maintaining a terminology database.

In charge of the documentation management in Meta4, a Spanish editor of software for Human Resources and Knowledge Management.

Based in Madrid for the first 8 months, I was involved in the setting up of the French subsidiary.

My achievements:

• Planned a documentation workflow;
• Wrote specific documentation for the French Payroll and HR modules based on the standard documentation;
• Set up a methodology to archive the documents by release;
• Managed the documentation release updates;
• Published single source documentation into:
  • HTML Online Help;
  • Online Manuals.
